The house
A shy-of-a-century-old Kolkata home on Kabir Road, off Southern Avenue, excavated brick by brick into a place for live work.
The studio is the old front room: whitewashed walls, tall teak doors, a marble floor. Audiences sit on cushions and chairs a foot from the performer. It seats about forty-five.

- The studio
- The performance and rehearsal room. About forty-five seats, stage lights, sound, blackout, a red-oxide and marble floor.
- Ancillary rooms
- Smaller rooms for a workshop group, a design table, a green room or a quiet read-through.
- The theatre library
- Plays, theory and scripts to read in the house. Ask to borrow.
- The terrace
- A covered terrace under a steel frame, with plants. Showings, gatherings and the interval.
- The residency
- A room for a resident artist to stay while a piece is investigated.

House rules
- Doors close at the advertised time. Strictly no late entry.
- No photography or recording inside the studio unless the company says otherwise.
- Seats are few. Book early, and tell us if you cannot come so someone else can.
- The house is on the first floor, up a flight of stairs. Call ahead if that is a difficulty and we will help.
